Our goal is to shorten the supply chain and provide you with the best service at the best price.
We study the itineraries, map the routes, choose and book overnight accommodations, coordinate logistics and support services, prepare informational materials for the participants, choose tour leaders, and book local tours and excursions.
When we are not directly managing each service, we carefully choose local partners to do so, and we still remain your trusted contact before, during and after your trip.

For more than two decades, we have been organizing trips and experiences, leaving to you only the pleasure of discovery. We take care of everything else, because we know how nice it is to travel “easy and carefree.” We do this from our headquarters in Vicenza and from our operating bases in Italy and Europe. Bike and barge (2 tours)
Holidays along rivers, canals and coastal routes, with cycling by day and overnight stays in a floating hotel that follows the cyclists stage by stage. The cabin will be yours for the whole week, and breakfasts and dinners are served on board, where the captain and crew await you. Find out how our bike and barge tours work.
For families (3 tours)
Organized holidays geared toward traveling with little ones: family-friendly hotels, discounts for children and teens, and the possibility of renting bikes and special bike attachments for children of all ages. These trips feature shorter stages on bike paths or roads away from traffic.

We fell in love with Bike and Barge holidays to the point that we bought four river boats: Ave Maria and Vita Pugna sail in Italy between Mantua and Venice; L’Estello and Caprice are our boats in the South of France, in Provence and Camargue. Captains, crew and logistics staff are part of the Girolibero team, in constant contact with our office.

After many years as cargo boat Vita Pugna has been totally renewed in the beginning of the 1990s in order to start her new life as floating hotel along the Dutch canals. After a famous long journey from Holland to Italy, this charming Dutch lady has been sailing with great success between Venice and Mantova since 2008. Why get on board? For the cozy atmosphere, small size and charm of sleeping on a historic Dutch barge.

You can rent the bike type that suits you best. You will find it at the starting point of the tour and you have to return it at the end of the last cycling stage: easy, isn’t it? Touring bikes, electric bikes, tandems, accessories: our mechanics know them down to the last bolt, assemble them and continually overhaul them at our headquarters or at the nearest base of operations. Our e-bike is the right choice if you do not feel trained enough to spend more days on a saddle. You can easily adjust the assistance of the electric motor: from a mild pedaling support, to a more intense boost, which is especially useful on starts and uphill climbs. The battery charge covers an entire cycling stage, or even more if you don’t use it at full power all the time, and you can recharge it at the end of the day at the hotel .

Travel itineraries include luggage transport service: you leave your bags at the front desk each morning to find them at your next lodging. Traveling light makes all the difference!
We send it to you before you leave: it contains practical information, details on how to reach the starting point, list of hotels, and answers to any frequent questions.
On a self-guided tour you will also receive detailed maps and roadbooks, in hard copy or digital format, to follow the route on your own.
We plan your trip carefully to prevent any mishaps, but if you need assistance you’ll have our support numbers available 7 days a week.
