If you choose a self-guided cycling tour, you follow the stages at your own pace with route maps; if you join a group tour, just follow your guide.

Our cycling holidays include both self-guided and group options. On a self-guided trip, you ride at your own pace with all the route materials you need — maps and stage descriptions included. On a group trip, a guide takes care of everything.

On a full charge, the battery is designed to last a full day’s stage — so you can ride without worrying about running out of power mid-route. Easy — just plug it in at your hotel at the end of each stage. All Girolibero accommodations are e-bike friendly, so charging points are always available.

Absolutely. If you can ride a regular bike, you can ride an e-bike. The motor kicks in as you pedal, giving you a smooth and natural boost — you’re always in control of how much assistance you want. It takes just a few minutes to get comfortable, and most riders wonder why they didn’t switch sooner!

An e-bike is a great choice on any Girolibero tour, but certain destinations make it an easy decision. The rolling hills of Puglia, the island roads of Croatia, the sun-drenched landscapes of Provence — these are routes made for riding at your own pace, without the heat or the climbs ever getting in the way.

Every morning you leave your luggage at the reception desk and we take care of transporting it to your next accommodation. We will provide you with luggage labels and drop-off times. During the day, you can carry your essentials in the side bag provided with your rental bike. The service is always included in the price. Cycling light makes all the difference.

Accommodation varies depending on the trip. It can range from hotels and guesthouses to B&Bs and private rooms, or even boats if you choose a bike and barge tour. From the moment you book until you’re back home, we’ve got you covered. On self-guided trips, it is good to be prepared for the small mechanical hiccups that come with cycling — that’s why we provide a full repair kit with everything you need to handle a flat tire on your own. For anything else, our support line is available 7 days a week, from 8 AM to 8 PM. If your trip is run in partnership with a local operator, we will give you their direct contact too, so you can sort things out on the ground without going through us.

We strongly recommend it. A good policy should cover medical expenses, trip cancellation and cycling-specific incidents. Travel insurance is not included in the tour price and must be arranged independently before your trip.
