Every day brings a new beach: between stretches by boat and pedaling by bike, there is plenty of room for swims and relaxed moments on the long sandy shores of Pellestrina, the Bacan, the Lido, and Cavallino. 1. Arrival in Venice and boarding
Individual arrival in Venice. The boat awaits you at the Giudecca from 5:00 PM. At 6:00 PM, join the welcome briefing with a refreshing aperitivo: the crew and your tour leader welcome you aboard and are on hand to answer any questions. After dinner, enjoy your first stroll through the heart of Venice.
2. Free day in Venice. *Beach of the day: Lido di Venezia*
Venice at your own pace and visit some of its most iconic sights: Piazza San Marco with its monuments, the Castello district, Campo dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo with its imposing Gothic basilica and the Scuola Grande di San Marco, today the city’s civic hospital, the famous Rialto Bridge… And to round off the day, why not take a dip? The beaches of the Lido are just a vaporetto ride away. Tonight dinner is not included.
3. The islands of Murano and Lido. *Beach of the day: Pellestrina*
Bid farewell to Venice and enjoy the sail to Murano, where you have the chance to step inside a historic glassworks and watch a demonstration of the centuries-old art of glassblowing. Then it’s time to hop on your bike and discover two islands with very different personalities: first the Lido, home to the Venice Film Festival, with its Belle Époque hotels and elegant beach clubs, then Pellestrina, a genuine fishing village with brightly colored houses. There is also time for a refreshing swim: the free beach is just steps from where the boat is moored!
4. Cycling along the Via delle Valli. *Beach of the day: Albarella*
Today the boat carries you to Cavanella d’Adige, where you disembark and cycle to the island of Albarella. Here there’s time for a swim before setting off again on a short sail to Moceniga, the starting point of today’s bike leg along the Via delle Valli, one of the most spectacular cycling routes in Italy and Europe! Ride along the embankment, passing distinctive “water gardens,” elegant “casoni” fishing huts, and traditional “cavane” boat shelters. Keep your eyes open: this is prime territory for spotting a wide variety of waterfowl. The ride continues on to Chioggia, the “Little Venice” with its colorful fishing quarter. After visiting the historic center, return to Pellestrina for the night.
5. Cycling between Punta Sabbioni and Lio Piccolo. *Beach of the day: Cavallino*
After breakfast, the boat takes you to Punta Sabbioni, the tip of the Cavallino-Treporti peninsula, where the lagoon meets the sea. Disembark with your bikes for a scenic ride along the water’s edge on the brand-new cantilevered cycle path over the lagoon, then venture into the small islands and canals of Lio Piccolo, a magical lagoon hamlet of vegetable gardens and fish farms. Did you pack your swimsuit? After the ride, plenty of swimming awaits at Cavallino, one of the best-loved beaches in this area. Tonight the boat stays moored near Burano.
6. The islands of Sant'Erasmo and Burano. *Beach of the day: Bacan*
After breakfast, head to the island of Sant’Erasmo, the second largest after Venice itself and known as “the Venetians’ vegetable garden.” Alongside its vegetable fields and fruit orchards, the island also has vineyards producing a white wine called “Orto di Venezia” in tribute to the island. But the true star here is the purple artichoke of Sant’Erasmo, a prized crop harvested in spring that in summer covers the island in beautiful purple blooms. A stop at Bacan beach is a must: enjoy some time on this beach, popular mainly with locals, before sailing on to the vibrant island of Burano, famous for its brightly colored houses and its exquisite handmade lace.
7. Sailing to Portegrandi and arrival in Treviso by bike
Today begins with a sail to Portegrandi. After about an hour, set off by bike toward Treviso, following the Sile River along its towpaths, a beautiful route through peaceful countryside dotted with small villages along the banks. Depending on the day’s schedule, stop for a refreshing swim at the Casier outdoor pool before continuing on to the evocative Cimitero dei Burci in Casier, where you can see the half-sunken remains of these large wooden boats, once used until the 1970s to transport goods along the Sile. When river transport declined, the boatmen chose to sink their “burci,” which today serve as a refuge for a remarkable variety of waterfowl. Today’s destination is Treviso, known for the small canals and mills that line its streets, which you can explore by bike. The city is full of beautiful views, from neoclassical palaces to houses with balconies overflowing with flowers.

Today you set off from Pellestrina, an authentic fishing village with brightly colored houses. There’s still time for a refreshing swim at the free beach just steps from where the boat is moored, before hopping on your bike. Ride to the Lido, home to the Venice Film Festival, with its Belle Époque hotels and elegant beach clubs. From there, continue on to Murano, where you have the chance to visit a historic glassworks and watch a demonstration of the centuries-old art of glassblowing. Cancellation policy
In the event of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occurring at the place of destination or in its immediate surrounding area and having a substantial impact on the execution of the package or on the transport of travellers towards the destination, the traveller has the right to withdraw from the agreement before using the package, without paying withdrawal costs.
In all the other cases of withdrawal from the travel agreement, the traveller is always required to pay a withdrawal penalty. Read more

Practical information
Embarkation
Embarkation is scheduled from 5:00 PM in Venice/Treviso. Here you will meet the tour leader and other participants. At 6.00 PM a meeting with the tour leader and the crew is scheduled.
If you arrive before 5:00 PM, you can leave the luggage on board anytime during the day.

A) Direction Venice-Mantua
Venice is the starting point of the tour to be reached independently.
By plane
Venice is connected with the following airports: Venice: 10 km, Treviso: 30 km, Verona: 110 km, Bergamo: 240, km Milan: 310 km.
From Venice airport (VCE):
- water bus Blue Line Alilaguna until the stop “Zattere”. From here vaporetto Line 2 until the stop “Redentore”
- alternatively, Fly Bus ATVO shuttle service to reach Venice Piazzale Roma (approx. 20 min). From here vaporetto Line 2 or 4.1 until the stop “Redentore”
From Treviso airport (TSF):
- ATVO shuttle service to Venice Piazzale Roma (approx. 70 min)
- alternatively, Airlink shuttle bus from the airport to Treviso train station (approx. 10 min). From here train to Venice Santa Lucia train station (approx. 40 min) and vaporetto Line 2 or 4.1 until the stop “Redentore”
From Verona airport (VRN):
- Airlink shuttle bus until Verona Porta Nuova train station (approx. 15 min). From here direct train to Venice Santa Lucia (approx. 1.30-2 hours) and vaporetto Line 2 or 4.1 until the stop “Redentore”
From Bergamo airport (BGY):
- shuttle bus from airport to Brescia train station (approx. 1 hour). From here train to Venice Santa Lucia with change in Verona Porta Nuova (approx. 1.40/2.5 hours) and vaporetto Line 2 or 4.1 until the stop “Redentore”
From Milano Malpensa airport (MXP):
- train from the airport to Milano centrale (approx. 1 hour). From here train to Venice Santa Lucia (direct connection or with change in Verona Porta Nuova, approx. 2.30/3.5 hours) and vaporetto Line 2 or 4.1 until the stop “Redentore”
By train, the low-impact choice

B) Direction Treviso-Venice
Treviso is the starting point of the tour to be reached independently.
By plane
Treviso is connected to the following airports: Treviso-Sant’Angelo/Canova 5 km, and Venezia Marco Polo 45 km.
From Treviso airport (TSF):
- bus MOM 101 from the airport to the city center (15 min ca.)
From Venice airport (VCE):
- Bus ATVO or bus ACTV n.15 to Venezia Mestre train station. From here, train to Treviso train station (1 hour ca.)
By train, the low-impact choice
Treviso centrale is the closest station.

Documents
If you are a citizen of the EU or of a Schengen country – i.e. most EU countries and four European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland – you are free to travel to other Schengen countries without having to go through border controls.
Even if you don’t need a passport for border checks within the Schengen area, it is still always highly recommended to take a passport or ID card with you.
If you are a non-EU national wishing to visit or travel within the EU, you will need a passport:
- valid for at least 3 months after the date you intend to leave the EU country you are visiting,
- which was issued within the previous 10 years
- and possibly a visa

Tour programme variations
- Due to organisational reasons, weather conditions or provisions issued by local authorities, the itinerary may be subject to some changes before and/or during the holiday.
- Issues with high and low water, as well as logistic obstacles such as officially ordered – previously not announced – repair work on locks or bridges can modify some of the daily stretches or overnight stays and may even request a transfer by bus. These decisions are only taken by the barge’s captain.
Travel insurance
- It is advisable to take out an insurance policy against expenses arising from cancellation of the tour package, accidents, luggage (loss and damage), as well as a contract covering expenses in case of repatriation. Insurance policies are not included in the tour package offered by the operator.
